Another day, another dollar

Well, another week has gone by since I finished school. I always knew I'd miss it, but I REALLY do. I can't wait till I can start up again.
Fortunately, the holidays are coming up. I have already finished my holiday shopping. Actually, I was almost finished over the summer, but had a few last minute things to pick out. At this time of year, I feel so blessed to be where I am, to have the family I do, and the education and opportunities I do.

I came upon an inspirational thought from the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (from that other school down South), but I thought I might share it with anyone who may read my blog:

The grateful man sees so much in the world to be thankful for, and with him the good outweighs the evil. Love overpowers jealousy, and light drives darkness out of his life. Pride destroys our gratitude and sets up selfishness in its place. How much happier we are in the presence of a grateful and loving soul, and how careful we should be to cultivate, through the medium of a prayerful life, a thankful attitude toward God and man.

~Joseph F. Smith quoted in "Live in Thanksgiving Daily," by Joseph B. Wirthlin. Ensign, September 2001, 6.
